Found in tropical rivers and marshes in the United States and China, Glade is often mistaken for his cousin the Crocodile. He finds this completely inexcusable since his snout is quite a bit shorter and blunter than that of the crocodile, and he has spent a small fortune in diction lessons so as be better identified as a truly continental reptile. Glade (short for "Everglade") is 10 inches tall.

The American alligator, Alligator mississippiensis, resides primarily in the rivers and wetlands in the southeastern region of North Carolina, but can also be found as far north as the Albemarle Sound.
